Hadhramaut is confidently moving
forward toward building its independent political entity, relying on a clear
vision and well-thought-out plans that encompass political, administrative,
security, and diplomatic dimensions—amid growing popular support and undeniable
regional endorsement.
In the midst of ongoing conflicts
in southern Yemen and rapid transformations, Hadhramaut emerges as a promising
state-in-the-making. It is founded on strong organizational principles, with
efforts progressing to complete the construction of political and
administrative structures and define its geographic and political
borders—borders that, without doubt, end in the west at Mayfa’a and Arma. The
current Shabwah governorate will not be part of Hadhramaut, as historically,
only Arma belongs to Shabwah. Simultaneously, disciplined military units are
being formed to operate according to a purely national vision. On the
diplomatic front, notable progress is being made through effective and ongoing
coordination with brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reflecting the level
of seriousness and responsibility with which the Hadhramaut file is being
handled.
The sporadic statements made by
certain individuals or factions opposing the Hadhramaut project carry no
weight. The people of Hadhramaut see them as desperate attempts that do nothing
to hinder the reality of steady progress.
They affirm that Hadhramaut, with
its rich historical legacy and abundant economic and human resources, cannot be
reduced to a pawn in others’ conflicts, nor can it be used as a bargaining chip
in political projects that do not align with the aspirations of its people.
What is said by some parties in
southern Yemen about Hadhramaut has no value on the ground and will neither
advance nor delay the course of Hadhramaut’s cause. Hadhramaut today is not a
subject of debate—it is a reality in the making.
On the other hand, history will
not forget those who stood by Hadhramaut in its legitimate struggle to build
its state—just as it will not forgive those who undermined this national
project. Some individuals who are attacking Hadhramaut today will have no
chance of visiting it in the future. This is a sensitive and pivotal phase,
coming after a long period that exhausted the people of Hadhramaut, cost them
much time, and deprived them of the opportunity for a dignified life in their
own land. Therefore, all hostile positions from southern Yemen are being
documented, and these files will be dealt with responsibly and justly when the
time comes. Leave us be—we are tired—and we will not forgive those who attack
Hadhramaut in the future.
The message Hadhramaut sends
today is not limited to the internal front—it extends to the regional and
international arenas. Its growing presence in the political landscape, its
social cohesion, and its security stability are all indicators of a maturing
state project.
Amid an endless Yemeni conflict,
Hadhramaut is walking the path of political and administrative independence—by
the will of God, then with calculated steps—backed by the determination of its
people and balanced partnerships with regional actors. It proves that it is not
merely a governorate in a chaotic equation, but an entity with the right to
self-determination and the power to shape its own future.
